The Airliner - Bar Rescue Update

In this week's episode of Bar Rescue, the show is in East Alton, Illinois to rescue The Airliner bar.  This is a rescue that Jon Taffer will not be there, but Spike Mendelsohn is doing. The owner of the bar is struggling to run the bar left by her late husband and her daughter is having problems managing the business.  During the recon, bartenders cannot make basic drinks and the food is underwhelming.

During the Bar Rescue makeover, the show decided to keep the name of The Airliner. Let's take a look at some information, reviews, and updates for The Airliner since Bar Rescue came and made all of the changes to the bar (All reviews are post-Bar Rescue):

Positive Reviews:

• "Delicious. Love the airliner sizzler and white fish especially. Never had anything bad here. The decor had changed over the years but the food is great."

Conclusion:

This was another Bar Rescue where Jon Taffer wasn't there and Spike Mendelsohn did the rescue.  Bar Rescue decided to keep the name of The Airliner and the reviews for the makeover are mostly positive although there weren't too many.  It seems like it is a bar that has a lot of nostalgia and regulars, so that probably factored into keeping the name. All of the positive reviews seem to complement the fish dinner, so that seems to be a popular menu item at The Airliner.
