Blue Velvet (Brothers on Main) - Bar Rescue Update

In this week's episode of Bar Rescue, the show is in St. Clair, Missouri to rescue Brothers on Main. This is another rescue where Jon Taffer is not there, but Jason Santos is in charge.  Brothers on Main is owned by brothers David and Daniel.  The brothers aren't getting along and they aren't at the bar enough to run it properly.  The bar is supposedly weeks away from closing if things do not turn around.

During the Bar Rescue makeover, the show decided to change the name of Brothers on Main to Blue Velvet and the bar kept the name.  However, Blue Velvet closed before their episode first aired.  Let's take a look at some information, reviews, and updates for Blue Velvet since Bar Rescue came and made all of the changes to the bar (All reviews are post-Bar Rescue):

Positive Reviews:
  • "Changed name - it's now Blue Velvet. Food is pretty solid and the ambience is fine too. Had a burger and a pizza. Do check out the burgers!! Friendly service!"
  • "Stopped by for dinner. Had a Ribeye sandwich, tater tots, and tea. Left happy."
  • "Gorgeous decor, friendly staff, and delicious food. My friends and I stopped here after a long day on the river and it did not disappoint!"
  • "There are less food choices and higher prices . The drinks are good but once again higher prices. Our waitress was great. Most of the food below was not on the menu."
  • "Bar Rescue has recently revamped this establishment, and I must say that the new look is quite impressive. The cuisine is exceptional, and I'm delighted to see the return of some of their classic recipes. Their country fried steak is my personal favorite. The owner is a kind and respectful individual, and I wish him all the best in his endeavors. Supporting small businesses is crucial for our communities. I will definitely be frequenting more often."

Negative Reviews:
  • "The wife got philly cheese steak was tough as shoe leather"
