On this week's episode of Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer and crew are in Las Vegas, Nevada to rescue The Barley Pop's Bar & Grill. Barley Pop's is a Las Vegas dive bar owned by Christopher Woodbury which has a dirty kitchen with old grease in its fryer. Chris has a drinking problem which is fueled by the loss of his stepson to cancer and his wife to suicide. Jon Taffer has to help Chris find his way and get him to focus on making his bar successful.
During the Bar Rescue makeover, Jon Taffer decided to change the name of Barley Pop's Bar & Grill to The Valley Saloon and they have kept their name. Let's take a look at some information, reviews, and updates for The Valley Saloon since Bar Rescue came and made all of the changes to the bar (All reviews are post-Bar Rescue):

During the Bar Rescue makeover, Jon Taffer decided to change the name of Barley Pop's Bar & Grill to The Valley Saloon and they have kept their name. Let's take a look at some information, reviews, and updates for The Valley Saloon since Bar Rescue came and made all of the changes to the bar (All reviews are post-Bar Rescue):
Reviews:
- "The neighborhood is sketchy, and numerous homeless roam the parking lot at all hours of the night; however, the food is good and the comedy night is even better! I do wish they would update their name so it's not hard to find, contact, get or give directions. It'd also be helpful if the business would claim their Facebook page"
- "Nice little low-key spot. Little hole in the wall. I like it here. Food is amazing."
- "Horrible service. The owner is drunk and crazy. His nasty girlfriend likes to make a scene in the bar throwing her weight around. I hope his wife knows."
- "THE COOK PACKS A GLOCK MY KINDA PLACE😎"
- "Real nice people,Bartenders, good food, good ,nice price on beer and Drinks"
- "This place is a dump & the owner & his wife are the rudest people!"
- "Really love what they did with the place"
- "I was trying to get $100 out of the ATM. It gave me $40 and then stopped, but charged my bank account the whole $100, plus the service fee. I immediately went to the bartender and told them what happened. I also showed them the screen on the ATM. The bartender said that they couldn't do anything and to talk to the owner the next day. The bartender declined to take my name and information, or at least, leave the owner a note. I came back a couple of times, but every time I went he was not there. So, I tried calling. After a couple of times I finally got a hold of him. He told me that he knew nothing about it and acted like I was trying to rip him off. He was slurring his words and I had the impression, although I don't know the gentleman, that he was intoxicated. When I insisted that he meet me that night, so we could talk to the bartender who was working at the time I lost the money. He then told me that he was not going to meet me anywhere and not to come in his bar again."

Conclusion:
The Valley Saloon has kept the name of the bar given to them by Bar Rescue, but has made no attempt to capitalize on the publicity that being on Bar Rescue brings. They do not have a website and do not maintain any social media accounts almost a year and a half after Bar Rescue visited. There aren't too many reviews for The Valley Saloon in that span of time either, but there are some reviews that call the owner "drunk" and "crazy." The Valley Saloon also had a unpleasant health inspection about 5 months after Bar Rescue visited and the inspection found cockroaches, fruit flies in alcohol and moldy food.
UPDATE - At the end of the episode, it said that Chris got married to someone else after the episode. According to the Clark County marriage records, it was on February 27, 2017, so about a month after Bar Rescue visited.
Also, it seems that Chris has changed the name back to Barley Pop's according to Kari.

- In June 2017 (5 months after the makeover), Valley Saloon was closed by health inspectors due to a cockroach infestation. Inspectors found about 30 cockroaches inside a floor drain filled with sludge. Inspectors also found fruit flies in 10-15 bottles of vodka, tequilla, and bourbon. The restaurant was downgraded to a B after inspectors found a large amount of mold and cotton-like growth on the chili, as well as three week-old taco meat and expired milk. They reopened after fixing the issues. (Link)
- There is a restaurant that operates inside the bar called The Rose Grill. That restaurant has a Facebook page and website.
- Update - As a commenter pointed out, bartender/cook Kari has done some porn. If you are interested, her porn name is Kari Kums.
